Arsenal are targeting a summer move for Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri.
An overhaul is expected at the Emirates this summer, following the arrival of Unai Emery who has been chosen to succeed Arsene Wenger.
The soon to-be-unveiled Emery tried to sign Seri for Paris Saint-Germain in January and is now poised to revive his interest.
Seri, who has an agreement written into his contract allowing him to leave if Nice receive an offer of £35million, is also of interest to Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.
Unai looks set to revamp his Arsenal squad, as the club plan to get back among Europe’s elite.
The Gunners parted ways with midfielder Santi Carzola at the end of the season, as the Spaniard brought to an end his injury-hit tenure in north London.
Midfield ranks have to be boosted as a result, with Arsenal looking to be active in the transfer market.
The club want to confirm the deal to bring Emery to the Emirates Stadium in the next 72 hours.
The 46-year-old Spaniard has been in London to hold talks with the club hierarchy who were hugely impressed with his plans for the club if he were to succeed Wenger.
