Bibiani GoldStars recorded a 3-2 win over Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park to keep their Premier League title hopes alive. Stephen Amankona gave Chelsea the lead in the 8th minute, but GoldStars responded just three minutes later through Abdul Farouk Amoaful. Foster Agyei then struck twice in the 23rd and 25th minutes to turn the game around.
Stephen Amankona reduced the deficit in the second half, scoring his 15th goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough as Gold Stars held on for the 3-2 victory.
The game between league leaders Nations FC and Basake Holy Stars ended abruptly after Nations FC walked off the pitch in protest while trailing 1-0.
Asante Kotoko kept their slim title hopes alive after coming from behind to beat Medeama 3-2 at the Baba Yara Stadium. Medeama took an early lead through Kingsley Braye, but Albert Amoah scored in the 24th and 41st minutes to give Kotoko the advantage.
Manuel Mantey equalised for Medeama in the 68th minute, but Amoah completed his hat-trick in the 79th minute to seal all three points for Kotoko.
Hearts of Oak maintained their top four hopes with a 2-0 win over already-relegated Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Stadium. Kwabena Boateng opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Michael Mensah Awuah added a second in the second half.
FC Samartex 1996 earned a late 2-1 home win over Aduana Stars. Baba Musah Hamadu opened the scoring in the 6th minute, with Kelvin Obeng equalising for Aduana in the 32nd. In stoppage time, Isaac Afful netted the winner to seal the victory for Samartex.
Heart of Lions boosted their chances of finishing in the top four with a 2-1 win over Bechem United in Kpando. Kwesi Pong gave the Lions the lead in the 10th minute before Seedorf Asante doubled the advantage in the 66th. Nanji Zoumana Traore pulled one back late on, but it ended 2-1.
Dreams FC deepened Accra Lions’ woes with a 2-0 win in Accra. Abdul Razak Salifu and Aziz Misbau scored in the second half to secure the result.
Karela United secured their Premier League status for next season after a convincing 3-0 win over Young Apostles in Tamale. Abdul Latif, Malik Abubakar, and John Anane were the scorers for Karela.
