Mohamed Salah and Mariona Caldentey have been named PFA Players of the Year for the 2024/25 season after standout campaigns in the Premier League and WSL.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah claimed the men’s award for a record third time, following a phenomenal season under Arne Slot. He scored 29 league goals and provided 18 assists, leading Liverpool to the title. The award completes a treble of individual honors, alongside his FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season titles.
Arsenal’s Mariona Caldentey was crowned Women’s Player of the Year, capping a stunning first season in England. The Spanish forward scored 19 goals across competitions and played a key role in Arsenal’s Champions League triumph, including a final win over her former club, Barcelona.
Young Player Awards
- Men’s Young Player: Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) – 14 goals in 54 games and an England debut.
- Women’s Young Player: Olivia Smith (Liverpool/Arsenal) – Breakout season followed by a record move to Arsenal.
