The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released the 2024 Senior High School placement results.
451,797 candidates, representing 79%, qualify for placement out of 569,095 results received from WAEC.
However, the process was not without its challenges, as some students made mistakes during the selection process, affecting their placement status.
According to the GES, 10,898 papers were withheld due to examination malpractices discovered during the marking process.
To address these issues, the GES has urged students and parents to take advantage of the remaining time to confirm their result status, complete self-placement, and take necessary actions before the deadline.
“The students and parents are urged to take advantage of this time opportunity,” the GES stated, adding that candidates can contact them on WhatsApp (053 451 7153) for assistance.
For students who were not matched with their preferred schools through the automatic placement system, the GES has provided a self-placement portal.
Students can access this portal by providing their region and residential preference, choosing their preferred school program, submitting their selection, printing the form, and visiting the selected school to begin the admission process.
The GES noted that schools selected on the self-placement portal can be changed multiple times until enrollment.
