The Accra Sports Stadium is all set to host Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Matchday 6 qualifier against Niger next month.
This comes after the stadium was approved for the previous qualifier against Sudan in October.
Ghana will be facing their Nigerien counterparts on Monday, November 18, 2024 in their quest to secure a spot at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Currently, Ghana sits third in Group F of the AFCON qualifiers with just 2 points, trailing Angola, who has 12 points, and Sudan with 7 points.
The Black Stars are eager to improve their position in the group and clinch a spot in the upcoming tournament. However, their chances are slim, as they must win their last two matches against Angola and Niger, while hoping Sudan loses their games against the same teams.
Meanwhile, the Matchday 5 fixture of the qualifiers against Angola will take place on Friday, November 15, at the Estádio 11 de Novembro.
