The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has announced a “Meet the Press” session scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Ministry’s Conference Room in Accra.
The briefing, which begins at 4:00 pm, will focus on the financial commitments and preparations for the Black Stars’ upcoming qualifiers.
Minister Kofi Adams is expected to outline how government resources will be allocated to support Ghana’s campaign as the national team targets a fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup.
The press engagement comes just days before Ghana’s trip to N’Djamena to face Chad on Thursday, September 4, followed by a key clash with Mali.
The Black Stars currently lead Group I with 15 points from six matches, placing them in a strong position to qualify. However, both fixtures are seen as decisive in maintaining Ghana’s advantage in the 2026 World Cup qualifying race.
The ministry says the briefing will provide transparency on expenditure while reinforcing government’s commitment to supporting the team.
