The organisers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards have announced a change of venue for the 27th edition of the event, moving the ceremony to the Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The awards were initially scheduled to take place at the Palms Convention Centre but will now be held on Saturday 9th May 2026 at 7pm.
Charterhouse Productions said the decision reflects the growing scale and production demands of the show. It said the Grand Arena offers greater capacity, improved technical facilities and more flexibility for staging and broadcast production.
The venue has hosted the awards since 2019 and organisers say it remains best suited for the “world-class experience” associated with the event.
In a statement, Charterhouse expressed appreciation to stakeholders including headline sponsor Telecel Ghana, as well as government partners and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their continued support of the creative industry.
Organisers said this year’s ceremony will celebrate Ghanaian music and culture while emphasizing its global influence.
The TGMA 27th Edition will take place under the theme of showcasing “our music, our culture and our global impact”, according to Charterhouse Productions.
