The government of Ghana under the strict command of the president, John Dramani Mahama would be evacuating the first batch of 300 Ghanaian expatriates in South Africa.
This follows a recent xenophobic attacks suffered by Emmanuel Akowuah Asamoah during his arrival in South Africa which got the public’s backlash with the government’s intervention to evacuate any Ghanaian under threat in foreign countries.
The government noted that the welfare and safety of all Ghanaians is non negotiable and a priority to the its administration.
The evacuation date being May 21, 2026, Ghana will be prepared to receive the first 300 Ghanaian expatriates from South African country at 5am with a special charted flight at the OR Tambo International Airport located in Kempton Park, Gauteng, South Africa.
The flights services which is fully funded by the government of Ghana under the Mahama Administration.
