Police in the Greater Accra Region have arrested a 45-year-old man for allegedly defiling a three-year-old girl at Kuwait in the Ga South Municipality.
The suspect, Efo Emma, who shares the same compound with the survivor and her parents, allegedly took advantage of the absence of the survivor’s mother to perpetrate the act.
According to the mother of the survivor, the suspect took her daughter to his room and defiled her while she was away at the market.
The survivor was rescued by other tenants who heard her cry from the suspect’s room.
Eyewitnesses claim that the suspect applied oil on his manhood to aid the penetration.
The survivor is currently undergoing a medical examination and is said to be severely injured and traumatized.
The mother of the survivor has made an official complaint to the police at Tuba, who have since arrested the suspect. She is demanding justice for her daughter.
