A man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to steal a Ghana Police Service armoured vehicle in the Ashanti Region.
The suspect, identified as Ebenezer Frimpong, is said to have driven the vehicle away at Nkawie after the police driver briefly left it with the engine running to buy medication.
Police say the attempt was quickly detected, triggering a chase. The vehicle was intercepted and the suspect apprehended at Mim near Abuakwa Kumasi.
No injuries were reported. Police have not yet disclosed further details about the suspect or possible charges, but investigations are ongoing.
