The Accident Victims Support Ghana (AVSG) has expressed sympathy to the family of Tawiah Ampomah, the child who lost his life in a head-on collision at Amakom in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
According to a statement signed by Rev. Cyril Crabbe Benedict, President of AVSG, the accident occurred on Saturday, May 25, involving an unregistered salon Benz belonging to Kojo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, and another vehicle.
The statement said individuals in both vehicles sustained injuries and were seeking medical attention, but unfortunately, a child in the other car passed away while undergoing treatment.
AVSG extended its condolences to the family of the deceased child and prayed for strength during this difficult time.
The organization reiterated its commitment to caring for and alleviating the suffering of road crash victims in Ghana and urged the public to adhere to road safety measures to prevent such incidents.
AVSG also commended the police for their swift response to the scene and encouraged them to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident to ensure that the laws of the state are applied without fear or favor.
