Hundreds of sports fans are expected to hit the streets of Accra on May 24, 2025, for the much-anticipated “Walk in Your Jersey” event, a fun-filled early morning walk celebrating team spirit, fitness, and football fandom.
Participants are expected to show up in their favourite football jerseys, representing clubs from across the globe, as they walk from the Accra Mall to the Center Point Mall, starting at 6:00 a.m.
Organised with the support of media partners including Metro TV, Original TV, Daily Graphic, The Mirror, and Original 91.9 FM, the event aims to blend passion for football with healthy living while bringing fans from rival teams together in unity and fun.
From jerseys of Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City to the colours of Barcelona and local clubs like Asante Kotoko, the walk will be a vibrant display of football pride.
“This is more than just a walk. It’s a celebration of the culture, the sport, and the people who live and breathe football,” said leader of Abofu Fun Club
The event is open to all age groups and fitness levels, with entertainment and refreshment stops expected along the route.
