Accra Goes Pink with MetroCare on Oct. 31

Accra is set to turn pink this October as MetroCare, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Ignite Media Group, in partnership with the Community Care and Rehabilitation Association (CCRA), hosts the Pink Clinic Festival on Thursday, October 31, 2025, at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) premises.

The one-day event aims to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote early detection, and encourage regular health checkups through a blend of fun, education, and free medical services.

“We’re painting the city pink with music, fun, free health services, and powerful breast cancer awareness,” the organizers said.

Held under the theme “Let’s Fight Breast Cancer Together,” the festival will feature a wide range of free health services, including breast examinations, dental and cholesterol screenings, blood glucose tests, body mass index (BMI) checks, ear and eye screenings, malaria testing, and a health exhibition.

Beyond the medical outreach, the Pink Clinic Festival will celebrate the resilience of breast cancer survivors and foster solidarity among women and families affected by the disease.

“Come celebrate strength, sisterhood, survivors, and help spread the message of early detection,” the organizers urged.

The event kicks off at 10:00 am. and is open to the general public. For inquiries and participation, interested persons can contact 024 459 8747.

This year’s festival forms part of global efforts to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed every October to highlight the importance of screening, support, and advocacy in the fight against one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women.
