Ada Traditional Council debunks rumours of paramount chief’s death

The Ada Traditional Council has dismissed rumors circulating about the alleged death of Nene Abram Kabu Akuaku III, the Paramount Chief of the Ada State.

According to the council, the chief, who has been on the throne for 47 years, is alive and well.

At a press conference, Nomo Jonathan Dorkutso, Secretary to the Paramount Chief, condemned the false reports, stating that such rumors often surface during festive periods. He emphasized that spreading falsehoods about the paramount chief is detrimental to peace and tranquility in the Ada state and goes against the customs and traditions of Ada.

Nomo Dorkutso warned residents of Ada to desist from such acts, cautioning that anyone caught spreading false information would face the wrath of the paramountcy.

He expressed concern over the recurring nature of such rumors, stating, “We wonder why people are fond of doing that. How can you say Nene Ada is dead when he is alive, and this is not the first, second, or third time, but over and over in past years?”

The paramount chief has served the Ada State for a long time and deserves to enjoy a peaceful old age, Nomo Dorkutso added.
