Adam Kwarasey has what it takes to be Black Stars goalkeepers trainer – Coach JE Sarpong

Veteran coach, JE Sarpong has expressed faith in former Black Stars goalie Adam Kwarasey to do a competent job should he get the nod as Goalkeepers trainer come Monday, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

In an exclusive interview with Gideon Okyere Anim (Gattuso) on Original 91,.9 FM’s Super Sports Show, the renowned coach said; ” Adam Kwarasey can do the goalkeepers’ trainer job, he is very capable”.

He further stated that; “Goalkeepers coach is a specialized area and Chris Houghton believes Adam kwarasey can help him get the best out of the current goalies.

Kwarasey made his international debut for the Black Stars in 2011 under coach Goran Stevanovic. He made his first appearance in 2011 against Swaziland in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The Norwegian-based goalkeeper was Ghana’s first choice at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations as the Black Stars finished 4th in the tournament.

The 35-year-old’s professional football career started in 2007 with Strømsgodset but wrapped it up in 2020 after ending his three-year spell with Vålerenga and that’s some 13 years of football experience.
