Agricultural Development Bank (ADB PLC) has renewed its commitment to customer protection, joining the Ghana Association of Banks (GAB) to close out this year’s Fraud Roadshow and Market Storm in Accra on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Held under the theme “Spot The Fraud, Stop The Fraud,” the campaign delivered practical fraud-prevention education directly to the public amid rising use of digital banking and e-payment platforms.

ADB MD, Edward Ato Sarpong, urged customers to safeguard their banking details and stay alert to unsolicited calls or messages claiming to be from their bank. “No legitimate banking process requires customers to disclose sensitive credentials to unknown persons. When in doubt, verify directly with your bank,” he said.

ADB’s Head of AML and Compliance, Papa Arko Aryiah, added that fraudsters “succeed by exploiting information, trust, and urgency,” urging customers to verify suspicious requests before acting and report unusual activity promptly.

As part of the outreach, ADB staff engaged the public directly, distributing branded anti-fraud T-shirts and aprons while promoting the bank’s products and services.
