Aduana Stars striker, Isaac Mintah has reiterated the club’s ambition to win the 2022-23 Betpawa Premier League despite their matchday 27 defeat to Asante Kotoko.
The Ogya Boys lost 2-1 to the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday. Twenty-five minutes into the game, the two-time Ghana Premier League champions took the lead through Isaac Mintah.
Speaking to the owner and bankroller of New Edubiase FC, Abdul Salam Yakubu, who hosted the holiday edition of Original 91.9FM’s Super Sports Show, Mintah was confident Aduana will win the Premier League this season, and revealed his desire to write his name in the history books of the club.
“We will win the 2022-23 Betpawa Premier League title despite our loss to Asante Kotoko”.
“We are highly motivated, very well prepared and capable of winning the league “.
“As a striker, my target is to score more than ten goals this season”
The win elevates Kotoko to 4th place five points behind Aduana and a point ahead of Hearts of Oak.
Aduana Stars will hope to grab all 3 points against Bibiani GoldStars in their matchday 28 tie at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Wednesday.
