Akyem Duokon community hit by acute water shortage

Akyem Duokon, a farming community in the Achiase District, is experiencing an acute water shortage, disrupting economic and social activities.

The community’s water facility has been broken down for six months, forcing residents to rely on inadequate wells for their water supply.

Residents appealed for help when Reverend Sister Jacinta Akua Kwakyewaa Osei, a tutor and philanthropist, donated items to support them.

Reverend Sister Kwakyewaa urged authorities to fix the water problem to enable residents to access water for domestic purposes.
