Boniface Abubakar Sidique, the Northern Region Caravan Tour team leader and senior advisor to Alan Kyerematen, the presidential candidate of the Afrafranto Alliance, has hailed Alan Kyerematen as the “situational leader Ghana desperately needs at this critical juncture.” Alhaji Boniface made this insightful statement during the Northern Region Caravan Tour, accompanied by a strong delegation including Alhaji Hindu, the Northern Regional Anchor; Dr. Sadique, Senior Advisor; Alhaji Abdullah (Red), Regional Communication Director; and other respected members of the Movement.
“We are proud, our fellow Northerners, of having your support,” he began, addressing the chiefs, elders, and citizens from all walks of life who had gathered to listen. “But at the beginning of this journey, we must rise above our own expectations and interests. Alan Kyerematen, in particular, has demonstrated his commitment to the people and has asked for your continued support,” he urged, emphasizing the unity needed to bring meaningful change to the country.
Alhaji Boniface spoke passionately about the deteriorating state of Ghana’s economy and natural resources, cautioning that time is running out. “As we speak, all our resources are being depleted. The water bodies are being destroyed, and if we don’t take a stand, in the next five years, we will be importing water to drink,” he lamented. “We must act decisively if we are to preserve the future. This is our position, and it’s time we held it firmly.”
He then highlighted Alan Kyerematen’s Great Transformational Plan (GTP), which he believes will steer Ghana away from its current course. “Alan is committed to production and economic expansion, with a focus on increasing exports, reducing imports, and boosting revenue through corporate and income taxes. This is not just about politics; it’s about leadership that can make a difference,” he declared. “His strategy is rooted in fostering economic independence and prosperity in the North by making the North the food basket of West Africa.”
In his speech, Alhaji Boniface drew a comparison to Malaysia, a country that once sought Ghana’s expertise in agriculture but has since outpaced it. “Malaysia came to Ghana and learned how to cultivate oil palm. Today, they earn over $20 billion annually from oil palm, while we go out there to beg the IMF to give us $360 million to survive. Alan Kyerematen knows that Ghana, too, has the potential to thrive economically if we commit to investing heavily in agriculture and industrialization.”
He further explained that Mr. Kyerematen’s plans extend beyond economics, aiming to reshape the nation’s political identity from the current winner-takes-all system to an all-inclusive system that focuses on service and accountability. “Alan understands that politics is about what you do for your people; it’s not about what you take from them.”
According to Alhaji Boniface, corruption is killing the country due to greedy and selfish leaders. He called on the people to put their trust in Alan Kyerematen, “who has never been corrupt and will never be corrupt. Alan believes in leadership by example. That is why, throughout his political career, he has never been associated with corruption or leadership failure,” Alhaji Boniface noted.
Turning to Alan’s sense of urgency, Alhaji Boniface reminded the audience that Ghana cannot afford complacency amid the current challenges. “This is high time for Ghana to choose a leader who will act immediately. We need a situational leader who can address the crisis at hand and deliver sustainable progress, and Alan Kyerematen, without a shred of doubt, is that leader,” he affirmed.
Finally, Alhaji Boniface expressed his gratitude to the chiefs, elders, and the people for their warm reception. “We are here to build a future for all Ghanaians, and with leaders like Alan Kyerematen, we can overcome our challenges together. Ghana’s journey towards transformation and prosperity begins here in the North,” he concluded.
The Afrafranto Caravan Tour, which continues to gain momentum across the Northern Region, showcases the people’s overwhelming support for the Afrafranto Alliance’s vision, with communities gathering in large numbers, even at midnight, to await the Caravan as it spreads its message of transformational leadership throughout Ghana.
