The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that members of the Black Stars technical team were involved in an accident while returning from Tarkwa, but thankfully, all are in good condition.
According to the Head of Communications for the GFA, Mr. Henry Asante Twum, Otto Addo, John Paintsil, and Fatawu had to undergo immediate medical assessments upon arrival in Accra.
“We thank God they are all doing fine, with no internal bleeding or broken bones,” Mr. Asante Twum revealed in an interview with Gatuso on Original FM’s Super Sports Show.
The incident comes just days before Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Angola on September 5 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, and the GFA is hopeful the technical team will be fully fit to lead the Black Stars.
