Ghanaian-American singer, songwriter, Ama Serwah Genfi, known commonly as Amaarae in the showbiz space, is set to perform at next year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The ‘Sad Girls Love Money’ hit singer was announced as one of the many artistes billed to perform at next year’s festival. This will make the afro beats, afro fusion singer the first Ghanaian artiste to perform at the festival.
Amaarae released her highly anticipated second album Fountain Baby in June, 2023 which has since gained a lot of popularity and made her the first Ghanaian to appear on Tiny Desk.
The artistes lineup for next year’s festival includes Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Travis Scot, and Charli XCX.
The festival will also feature performances from other artists like Prodigy, Three 6 Maka, South Africa’s Tyla and Nigeria’s Rema.
The 2025 Coachella Valley Music Festival returns to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
