Ambulance Trial: Jakpa reveals secret night meetings with A-G in 2022

Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ongoing ambulance trial, has disclosed that he had two secret meetings with Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame in 2022, at 10:30 PM.

According to Jakpa, the meetings were significant and influenced his cooperation with the Attorney General’s office.

He claimed that Dame assured him he was not the primary target and that the focus was on Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Minority Leader and embattled former Deputy Finance Minister.

Jakpa stated that these assurances led him to share crucial documents and information, and he was even provided with a critical document – the addendum to the main contract between the government and Big Sea – before the prosecution closed its case.

These secret meetings have thrown a new light on the case, exposing the behind-the-scenes interactions between Jakpa and the Attorney General, and raising questions about the prosecution’s motives.
