APC President Samson Deen congratulates Ghana Olympic Committee new leadership

Samson Deen, President of the African Paralympic Committee and the Ghana Paralympic Committee, has congratulated Richard Akpokavie on his election as President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).

In a statement, Samson Deen expressed his well-wishes to the new leadership, emphasizing the need for unity and professionalism in sports administration.

“It is time to reset, rebrand, and transform the mindset of the sports family — aligning with the sports business model that demands discipline, credibility, and professionalism,” he said.

Samson Deen praised the delegates for their choice, noting that it reflects “a bold move away from biases and a strong commitment to a brighter, united future.”

He also congratulated other elected officials, including Muniru Kassim, Secretary General, and Evans Yeboah, Treasurer of the Ghana Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Ghana Paralympic Committee.

“Now is the time to unite the Olympic Family and work with everyone to build a stronger, more credible sporting nation,” Deen added.
