Member of Parliament for Effiduase/Asokore, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, has challenged Rev. Owusu Bempah to either apologise and retract an alleged statement against him or prove the allegation in court.
Speaking on Wontumi TV on Tuesday morning, Dr. Ayew Afriyie strongly denied an allegation attributed to Rev. Owusu Bempah that he and some other members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were planning to send members of the party’s Nasara wing to attack the Reverend at his church.
Dr. Ayew Afriyie described the allegation as false and demanded a retraction and apology from Rev. Owusu Bempah.
He further challenged the Reverend to substantiate the claim in court if he stands by the alleged statement.
“Apologise or prove your allegations in court,” Dr. Ayew Afriyie said, as he responded to the allegation during the interview.
According to the Effiduase/Asokore MP, he has already forwarded videos containing the statements allegedly made by Rev. Owusu Bempah to his lawyer.
He said his lawyer is currently preparing to take the appropriate legal steps over the matter.
