Artisans in Akuapem North Municipality vry out for workspace support

A group of artisans in the Akuapem North Municipality has made a passionate appeal to local authorities to assist them in securing a workspace to improve their operations.

The artisans, comprising welders, automechanics, and sprayers, met with Sammy Awuku, the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate, as part of his stakeholder engagement.

They cited land acquisition as a significant challenge hindering their progress.

According to the artisans, having a secure workspace would improve their productivity and enable them to contribute more effectively to the local economy.

They also expressed their struggles in accessing resources, including workspace and security, a common challenge faced by small-scale entrepreneurs and artisans in Ghana.

Some artisans shared their experiences and challenges with Metro TV, highlighting the need for support. Sammy Awuku assured the Association that he would support their unity in fighting to resolve their challenges and improve their living conditions.

In a gesture of support, Awuku donated GH₵50,000 to the beauticians and dressmakers and provided 50 sewing machines and hair dryers each to ease their operations.
