Ghana’s sprinting stars, Joseph Paul Amoah and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, have booked their spots in the 100m final at the ongoing African Seniors Athletics Championships (ASAC) 2026.
Both athletes delivered impressive performances in their respective semifinal heats on Wednesday at the University of Ghana Stadium, setting the stage for a thrilling final later today.
Abdul-Rasheed Saminu led the way by finishing first in Heat 2, securing his place among Africa’s fastest sprinters.
His compatriot, Joseph Paul Amoah, followed suit by finishing second in Heat 3, also advancing to the championship decider.
