Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded a 1-0 victory over Division One Zone Two side, Eleven Wise, securing the final spot in the quarterfinals of the MTN FA Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors displayed their superiority from the outset and deservedly took the lead in the 44th minute when Elvis Kyei Baffour latched onto a low cross to open the scoring.
Asante Kotoko pushed for a second goal in the second half but were unable to convert the chances that came their way. Nevertheless, the win earned them a place in the quarterfinals, where they will face another Division One side, True Democracy.
The other quarterfinal matchups include Berekum Chelsea hosting Bechem United in an all-Premier League clash at Golden City Park, Karela United welcoming Golden Kick, and Division One sides PAC Academy and Attram De Visser going head-to-head.
In the semifinals, the winner of the Berekum Chelsea/Bechem United match will face the winner of the Asante Kotoko/True Democracy game, while the winner of the Karela United/Golden Kick match will meet the winner of the Attram De Visser/PAC Academy clash.
The quarterfinals will be played between March 28th and 31st, 2025, with the semifinals scheduled for April.
