Asante Kotoko has restructured its technical team by appointing club legend Malik Jabir as the new technical director.
Malik Jabir, a former player for Asante Kotoko who won two CAF Champions League trophies during his prime, is making a return to the club to succeed Kwasi Appiah, who previously held the position.
Kwasi Appiah will remain with the club as part of the management team and will now take on the role of Head of Sporting Affairs, where he will continue to leverage his extensive experience in strategic operations.
Additionally, following a directive from His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Manhyia Palace, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum will no longer be part of the Interim Management Committee (IMC).
This decision allows Dr. Ogum to focus entirely on his primary role as Head Coach, aiming to lead the team to success on the pitch and advance the club’s sporting objectives.
Former captain Amos Frimpong has also returned to the club, taking on the roles of Deputy Welfare Officer and Team Manager for the youth team.
This strategic adjustments are part of Asante Kotoko’s ongoing commitment to optimizing the club’s operations and ensuring alignment with the vision set forth by Manhyia.
