Kumasi Asante Kotoko are set to get a new astro turf as Blaze Investment commences construction of a new synthetic pitch at Adako Jachie.
The club’s complex will now house three pitches, two natural grass and one synthetic pitch. The projected which is being constructed by Blaze Investment and financed by Ghana Gas comes with a 70 x 108 FIFA Standard premium quality pitch, flood lights, changing rooms and spectator stands with 1,000 seating capacity.

The project comes at the right time as there are a good number of premier league clubs that play on artificial turfs. Management of the club led by Nana Apinkrah Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) believes the facility will be a major boost as the club will no longer have challenges preparing for games to be played on synthetic pitches.

According to the contractor Alhaji Salifu Sinkare, who is known for the construction of many Astroturfs in the country, it will take his firm, Blaze Investment, six months to complete the project.
The construction of the turf will be a welcomed development for Asante Kotoko fans, who have long urged the club’s management to enhance its infrastructure.
