The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has officially installed Nana Yaw Safor Baah III as the new Paramount Chief of the Worawora Traditional Council in the Biakoye District of the Oti Region.
The historic installation marks the end of a decade-long leadership dispute that has hindered the progress of the area.

The ceremony, which took place under the guidance of Nana Barima Okugyesuo Adunan II of Kuntase in the Ashanti Region, was attended by prominent traditional leaders from surrounding regions, including Kuntase, Kokofu, Tapa Amanya, Buem-Jasikan, Apesokubi, and Worawora itself. The event was meticulously supervised by Okyeame Bonsu, Otumfuo’s personal linguist, ensuring that all traditional protocols were observed.
Addressing the gathering, Nana Okugyesuo Adunan emphasized the significance of ending the leadership vacuum that had stalled development in the region for the past ten years. He urged the newly installed chief to focus on reconciliation, fostering peace, and leading efforts to develop the area.
“Nana Yaw Safor Baah III, your installation today marks a new dawn for Worawora,” Nana Adunan stated. “We expect you to work hand-in-hand with your community, from the youth to women, and collaborate with government agencies to prioritize key development initiatives in education, healthcare, and infrastructure.”
The installation ceremony also included a call for unity. Okyeame Bonsu, representing the Manhyia Palace, called on all residents of Worawora to support their new leader and stressed that cooperation and unity among the people would be critical for long-term development and progress.
“Let us rally behind Nana Yaw Safor Baah III as he leads us into a brighter future,” said Okyeame Bonsu.
