Kofi Tonto, aide to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on Attorney General Dominic Ayine to come clean on what he knows about the involvement of Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, in the National Service Secretariat (NSS) scandal.
Tonto, in a forceful statement shared on Facebook, emphasized that the Attorney General must come forward with the truth about A-Plus suspected involvement in the NSS scandal, as Ghanaians deserve transparency.
“If the AG does not charge or tell us the role A-Plus played in the ‘NSS scandal’, he would have no moral right to charge anyone else. Ayine must tell us the role A-Plus played in the NSS scandal. We deserve to know!” Tonto posted.
His remarks come amidst rising public scrutiny over allegations of corruption and mismanagement at the NSS.
Although several figures have been named or investigated in connection with the scandal, A-Plus’ alleged involvement has remained unclear.
