The Black Satellites played out a 2-2 draw with Kenya in a preparatory friendly in Cairo ahead of the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off this weekend.
Dreams FC forward Abdul Aziz Musibau struck twice for Ghana in the first half, but his goals were cancelled out before the break by Kenyan forwards Hassan Beja and Lawrence Ouma.
Ghana fielded a strong starting lineup featuring the likes of Emmanuel Mensah, Appiah MacCarthy, Aziz Issah, Ishmael Addo, Andrews Adjabeng, Maxwell Azafokpe, Hakim Abdul, Kelvin Ahiable, and Gidios Aseako.
Both teams are using the friendly matches as part of their preparations for the tournament, which begins on Sunday, April 27, in Egypt and runs until Sunday, May 18.
The Black Satellites have been drawn in Group C alongside defending champions Senegal, the Central African Republic, and DR Congo.
Ghana will open their campaign against DR Congo on Friday, May 2, followed by a clash with Senegal on Monday, May 5, and a final group match against the Central African Republic on Thursday, May 8.
