Bagbin is Ghana’s worst speaker ever – Miracles Aboagye

Spokesperson for the Bawumia Campaign, Denis Miracles Aboagye, has unloaded on Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, labeling him the worst in Ghana’s history.

Miracles Aboagye attributed the controversy surrounding the four vacant seats ruling to Bagbin’s inefficiency, which he believes prevented an amicable resolution

Speaking on Newsfile on November 11, Aboagye emphasized that restoring the seating arrangement would bring much-needed sanity to the House.

His comments come after the Supreme Court directed Bagbin to stay the execution of the ruling, following a case filed by Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin.

Afenyo-Markin had earlier accused Bagbin of perpetuating chaos in the House, revealing that his side chose not to attend the recall due to concerns about potential violence.

Miracles Aboagye commended the NPP MPs for demonstrating emotional intelligence in managing the situation, while urging Bagbin to respect the apex court’s ruling and recognize the NPP legislators as the Majority side.

According to him, Ghana needs a speaker who can provide effective leadership and address pressing issues.

He echoed President Kufour’s sentiments, stating, “What this country needs… is a speaker that would realise that we have a very small matter that requires leadership to deal with the matter”.
