The 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has donated a total of GHS 3 million to the party to support its welfare activities during the first quarter of 2025.
The donation was made in two tranches: GHS 2 million presented in January and an additional GHS 1 million handed over just weeks ago. Both contributions were made through the party’s National Treasurer, Mr. Charles Dwamena, on behalf of the General Secretary and the National Chairman.
Dr. Bawumia’s financial support is intended to strengthen the party’s internal welfare structure and assist members in times of need, especially at the grassroots level. According to party executives, the gesture underscores the flagbearer’s long-standing commitment to the well-being of NPP members across the country.
“This contribution will go a long way to support the party’s welfare initiatives and bring much-needed relief to our loyal members,” said Mr. Dwamena after receiving the funds at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
He also commended Dr. Bawumia for his continued support, noting that the donation comes at a critical time as the party intensifies preparations for upcoming primaries and strengthens its grassroots mobilisation efforts.
