Bawumia is blaming everything & everybody for NPP 2024 election loss except himself – Omane Boamah

Defence Minister and the former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Director of Elections and IT, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has slammed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 presidential candidate, for shifting blame for the party’s election loss.

Dr. Omane Boamah in a Facebook post sighted by MetroTV, said Bawumia is “blaming everything and everybody except himself.”

According to him, Bawumia, who was the vice president during the Akufo-Addo regime, was critical in the NPP’s economic mess, which contributed to the party’s defeat.

“Bawumia was critical for NPP’s economic mess!” Dr. Omane Boamah stated.

This comes after Dr. Bawumia attributed the NPP’s loss to factors such as the high cost of living, arrogance of power, and the introduction of the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) and the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP).

“The prices of goods and services went up and left many Ghanaians struggling,” Dr. Bawumia said during the NPP’s National Thank You Tour at the Takoradi Technical University on Saturday, April 26.

However, according to Dr. Omane Boamah, Bawumia’s role in the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration’s economic decisions cannot be overlooked.
