Newly elected Ashanti Regional executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have engaged the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as part of efforts to strengthen unity and rebuild the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the polls.
The engagement focused on the need for a united party, a stronger grassroots base and a shared commitment to improving the NPP’s electoral fortunes in the Ashanti Region and across the country.
Dr. Bawumia pledged his full support to the newly elected regional executives and expressed his determination to work with them to position the NPP for victory in the 2028 general election.
He urged the executives to make unity a priority and work to bring all members of the party on board, stressing the importance of strengthening the party’s base ahead of the next elections.
According to Dr. Bawumia, the NPP must work collectively and ensure that differences within the party do not undermine its preparations for the 2028 elections.
He further assured the executives of his commitment to working hard with the party’s structures to achieve victory in 2028.
The newly elected Ashanti Regional NPP executives, for their part, assured Dr. Bawumia of their commitment to uniting the party’s base in the region.
They pledged to work closely with party members, supporters and grassroots organisers to strengthen the NPP’s presence across the Ashanti Region.
The executives also expressed their determination to improve the party’s electoral performance in the region by mobilising more supporters and working towards securing increased votes for the NPP in the 2028 general election.
The Ashanti Region has traditionally been a key stronghold for the NPP, making the region’s grassroots mobilisation efforts crucial to the party’s national electoral strategy.
The meeting between Dr. Bawumia and the newly elected regional executives is therefore expected to provide a platform for closer collaboration as the party begins preparations for the 2028 elections.
