Fresh accusations of sexual abuse have emerged against Ebenezer Karikari, the young man who recently went viral after a video showed him being beaten by his girlfriend.
Two women have now come forward, saying they endured harrowing encounters with him long before the public attack.
Speaking to Crime Check Foundation, twenty one year old Charity Adutwum recounted what she described as one of the darkest experiences of her life.
She said the incident happened in 2021 when Ebenezer offered to repair her faulty mobile phone after they met at Nkawie.
According to her, he insisted they go to his house because that was where he could fix the device.
Charity said that along the way, he changed his story and promised to give her a new phone instead, claiming repairs would cost more than the device was worth.
She followed him to an uncompleted building where he lived, but the offer quickly turned into a trap.
Inside the room, she said Ebenezer demanded sex in exchange for the phone.
When she attempted to leave, one of his friends, who had slipped out of the room moments earlier, returned and pushed her back inside.
Charity alleges that Ebenezer and two of his friends then took turns assaulting her.
The young woman said that when she threatened to report them to the police, Ebenezer struck her neck with a stick, knocking her unconscious.
She believes she could have died if passersby had not come to her aid. Charity later battled a severe sexually transmitted infection.
She was only eighteen at the time and said she did not report the incident because she wanted what she called karma to deal with him. But after seeing Crime Check’s recent interview with Ebenezer, she decided to share her story.
A second victim, who asked to remain anonymous, also accused Ebenezer of deceit and sexual exploitation.
She said they met on TikTok and later exchanged contacts. After two weeks of phone conversations, she visited him because he promised to give her an iPhone and five hundred cedis every week.
During her visit, she said they had sex, but he never fulfilled his promises. Instead, he pretended to make calls to someone who was supposedly bringing the phone, which never arrived.
According to Crime Check Foundation, more women are now reaching out with similar complaints.
