Benjamin Asare, the talented goalkeeper for Hearts of Oak and the Black Stars, shared a heartfelt tribute to Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, the coach who played a pivotal role in shaping his international football journey.

Asare, who had the opportunity to represent the Black Galaxies in his early career, spoke candidly about how Dramani’s guidance helped him believe in his talent and boosted his confidence.

He said this during an exclusive interview with King Kaninja on Sports Update on Original TV.

“During my time with the Black Galaxies, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani was incredibly helpful. I really appreciate his advice and support,” Asare said. “When I first joined the team, he made me believe in my abilities as a goalkeeper and assured me that I was good enough for the national team, the Black Stars. His words meant a lot to me.”

According to Asare, Dramani’s mentorship extended beyond the tactical aspects of goalkeeping. It was his ability to instill belief in players and nurture their mental strength that made a lasting impact. For Asare, that mentorship was a key factor in his development and his eventual rise to the national stage.

Dramani’s positive influence has remained with Asare throughout his career, especially as he continues to play a key role at Hearts of Oak. Reflecting on their relationship, Asare noted, “He was not just a coach, but a mentor and a guiding figure. His belief in me made a huge difference.”
