The rehabilitation of more than 81 kilometres of roads across 13 communities in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District has reached 73% completion under the government’s Big Push Programme, with work expected to be completed by November 2027.
The road rehabilitation project, being carried out by Messrs Mo & Mo Company Ltd, began in December 2025 and covers a total of 81.3 kilometres of roads across the district. The programme is intended to improve transport links and support economic activity in the area.
The project is divided into three enclaves.
In the Essiam enclave, which covers 20.5 kilometres, roads are being rehabilitated at Essiam Bisease, Essiam Town and Denkyira.
The Ajumako enclave covers 26.8 kilometres and includes Mando Kromaim, Assasan Essaman, Abrofoa Ampia Attakrom, Assasan and Ajumako.
In the Abaasa enclave, which spans 34 kilometres, work is underway on roads linking Nsawadze Onyaadze, Abaasa Nkodwo, Abaasa Enyamaim, as well as roads within Abaasa and Enyamaim.
The rehabilitation forms part of the government’s Big Push Programme, which aims to improve road infrastructure, strengthen connectivity and promote socio economic development through investment in critical transport networks.
