Binduri: Military weaponry retrieved from civilians

Some military weaponry have been retrieved from civilians in Binduri Central in the Binduri District of the Upper East Region following a search on the area by army officers from the 11 mechanised battalions.

The incident which took place on the 21th April, 2025, saw the military men retrieving one M16 magazine, G3 riffle, one Ak 47 riffle, 360 rounds of M 16 and Ak47, some military uniforms, military bullet broof jackets and other weaponry.

One person was also arrested in the process and has been handed over to the police officers in the Upper East Region.

The Binduri area have been volatile in recent times with the most recent killing of a woman and her four children.
