A woman and her four children, including a toddler have been killed at Benguri, a suburb of the the Binduri District of the Upper East Region.
The incident occurred on April 19, 2025, around 8 pm when the family were in their residence.
The gunmen stormed the house, set it ablaze and shot the five family dead.
Even though the incident occurred during curfew hours, security agencies stationed in the area failed to avert the situation.
This tragic event is reportedly linked to the Bawku conflict, which has spread to that area.
The Binduri District is currently under a dusk to dawn curfew with a ban on motor and tricycle riding following recent killings in the area.
