Sheikh Tophic Abdul-Kadir Sienu, the Communications Manager of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has called on fans to rally behind the Black Starlets as they prepare for their crucial clash against South Africa.
Speaking to Sportstiger on Original TV, Sheikh Sienu reflected on Ghana’s previous match against Senegal, stating, “We did not understand why the center referee disallowed our goal against Senegal, and it had an impact on the boys.” Despite the setback, he expressed confidence in the team’s ability to bounce back.
He added, “It is a huge task against South Africa, but we believe the Black Starlets can secure victory.” Highlighting the importance of team unity, Sienu urged fans to focus on encouragement rather than blame: “Let’s encourage the Black Starlets and avoid placing blame on individuals for the team’s shortcomings.”
Acknowledging some early mistakes, he noted, “I think there was a little complacency among the boys in our first two games, but they have learnt from it, and I believe we will beat South Africa.”
