Dr. Randy Abbey, Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, has announced that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will fully settle the winning bonus for Ghana’s national football team following their successful qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
In a recent interview with Gideon Okyere Anim, popularly known as Gattuso, on Original TV, Dr. Abbey confirmed that half of the performance bonus had already been paid, and the remaining balance will be disbursed shortly.
“We are pleased to inform the players and the nation that the full performance bonus for the Black Stars will be paid now that we’ve secured our place in the upcoming World Cup,” Dr. Abbey said.
He continued, “The first half of the bonus has already been paid, and we are now in the process of settling the remaining balance.”
The announcement comes as a significant morale booster for the Black Stars after their qualification for the World Cup.
The national team’s journey to securing their spot in the global football tournament has been a source of pride for Ghanaians, with fans eagerly awaiting the team’s performance on the world stage.
