The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has delivered a confident and uncompromising message ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting that the Ghana national football team will rise above their group-stage opponents.
Ghana, four-time African champions, are preparing for their fifth appearance at the global tournament. The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside the England national football team, Croatia national football team, and Panama national football team.
Speaking to members of the Ghanaian community in the United States, Okraku expressed strong belief in the team’s ability to compete at the highest level and progress beyond the group stage—something Ghana failed to achieve in both the 2014 and 2022 tournaments.
“We have three opponents at this World Cup: Panama, England and Croatia. We will crush all of them,” Okraku declared, setting a highly ambitious tone for the campaign.
