Bofoakwa Tano FC will beat Eleven Wonders to return to the GPL – Club’s General Manager

General Manager of Bofoakwa Tano FC, Evans Prempeh has stated emphatically that his side will thrash Techiman Eleven Wonders in the playoffs come May 30, 2023, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Bofoakwa are known for their rich history on the domestic scene – having won the SWAG Cup in 1975 and produced a number of household names like Kwesi Owusu (a 1978 Africa Cup of Nations winner), Osei Boateng, Joseph Derchie, Dan Owusu (1974, 1975, 1976 League top scorer) and Opoku Sampene who later played for Asante Kotoko.

Bofoakwa and Wonders are both set to battle for a place in next season’s betPawa Premier League.

In an exclusive interview on Original 91.9FM’s Super Sports Show with Gideon Okyere Anim “Gatusso”, Evans expressed optimism ahead of the final clash.

“Bofoakwa Tano FC will beat Eleven Wonders next week Tuesday to return to the Ghana Premier League”.

“We are fully prepared for this game ”

“We know the Eleven Wonders team very well and we believe we have what it takes to beat them”.

Eleven Wonders won the race in Zone One A as Bofoakwa Tano picked the slot in Zone One B to book their place for the championship playoff.

Zone One of the Access Bank Division One League was split into two zones due to lack of resources in the Zone especially the three Northern Regions and the seeming tension and violence that have characterized the Zone in the last couple of seasons.

Bofoakwa Tano won 20, lost 5, and drew 3 of the 28 League matches – confirming their superiority over Young Apostles, Wamanafo Mighty Royals, and Nkoranza Warriors to win the sole ticket in the Zone.

The Sunyani-based side are looking ahead to their first Premier League qualification since 2006/07 when they were relegated from the Premier League.
