Boost for Black Stars as twelve more players join camp for Sudan showdown

The Black Stars have received a boost with the addition of twelve (12) players, increasing the squad size to twenty-three (23) in preparation for Ghana’s important 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.

The new players joining the team are Lawrence Ati Zigi, Inaki Williams, Alexander Djiku, Abdul Mumin, Ernest Nuamah, Majeed Ashimeru, Alidu Seidu, Ibrahim Sulemana, Tariq Lamptey, Ibrahim Sadick, Michael Baidoo, and Jerome Opoku.

Cercle Brugge’s Abu Francis and FC Basel’s Jonas Adjetey, who both received late call-ups are the only players yet to join the team. The duo are excepted in camp by the close of Wednesday, October 8.

Ghana is set to host Sudan on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium, before traveling to Benina, Libya for the reverse fixture on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
