The Borteyman Sports Complex, Ghana’s premier sports facility, is set to be managed under a Private-Public Partnership (PPP) agreement, according to Sports Minister Hon. Kofi Adams.

Constructed for the 13th Pan-African Games, the Borteyman Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art facility and the largest of its kind in Ghana.

Designed to meet international standards, the complex has already earned recognition as a leading venue for top-tier athletic events.

Minister Adams emphasized that the facility is not just for current sporting events but is poised to become a center of excellence for Ghanaian athletes and tomorrow’s champions. “The Borteyman Sports Complex will serve as a sports university, nurturing talent and preparing the next generation of elite athletes,” he said.

The move to a PPP management model aims to improve operational efficiency, attract investment, and ensure sustainable development of the complex. Stakeholders believe this approach will unlock the full potential of the facility, transforming it into a national hub for sports education, training, and competition.
