Dr. Bryan Acheampong, MP for Abetifi Constituency donated cash amount of GHC190,000 to the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) team of Abetifi Presby Senior High School on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
He stated that GHC60,000 to be given to 5 contestants who made it to the Semi-Finals of the 2022 NSMQ competition and GHC30,000 to the 5 contestants who made it to the Quarterfinals in the 2023 NSMQ competition.
The Agric Minister applauded the teaching staff who trained these students to reach this great height and were also given GHC100,000 for the good work done.
The donation forms part of his commitment and continuous support geared towards raising the standard of education within the Kwahu East District and Kwahu in general.
He charged the school authorities to prepare a very comprehensive plan to guide all subsequent preparations towards NSMQ participation.
