Builsa South residents decry poor road network

Residents of the Builsa South district of the Upper East Region are distressed over the poor nature of road network in the area.

According to them, their roads have turned into death trap, killing innocent people yearly.

Some communities have also been cleaved out of other communities due to the rains.

Fumisi, the district capital and its adjoining communities like Gbedem, Gbedembilisi, Kanjaga and all the communities in the district, do not have a single tarred road.

Ibrahim Alhassan, a local radio presenter, tells Metro Tv, the challenge is devastating to the extend, some public service workers do not accept postings to the area and others who were there are also leaving the area.

“I now understand why workers do not accept postings to these areas. Many workers are leaving this area because of the state our road network” Ibrahim stressed.

The residents through Metro TV called on the government to swiftly attend to their plight in order to save lives.

All attempts to speak to duty bearer proved futile.
