The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the officials for Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Libyan referee Ahmed Abdulrazg will officiate the match against Chad, with his compatriots Amsaaed Attia M. Essa (Assistant I), Munji Alayat (Assistant II), and Muhammad Saad Elmabrouk Elmabrouk (Fourth Referee) assisting him.
Kokou Djaoupe from Togo has been appointed as Referee Assessor, while Holland-Cole Kasho Joseph from Sierra Leone will serve as the Match Commissioner. The match is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 19:00 hrs.
For the game against Madagascar, Senegal’s SY Issa will serve as the referee, with compatriots Camara Djibril (Assistant I), Bangoura Nouha (Assistant II), and SY Elhadji Amadou (Fourth Referee) supporting him.
Lim Kee Chong An Yan from Mauritius will be the Referee Assessor, and Brown Ivan Gartor from Liberia will serve as the Match Commissioner. The match between Madagascar and Ghana is scheduled to take place at the Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima in Morocco on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 19:00 hrs.
Ghana currently sits in second place in the group with nine points from four matches, level on points with Comoros but trailing on goal difference.
The Black Stars’ qualifying campaign kicked off with a 1-0 win over Madagascar in Kumasi, before suffering a 1-0 loss to Comoros away. However, Ghana bounced back with consecutive victories over Mali and the Central African Republic in June of the previous year, securing a 2-1 win in Bamako and a 4-3 victory at home against the Central African Republic.
